I finally got smart and kicked my GM truck to #2, best decision I've made. My Dodge is a much nicer truck with better craftsmanship than any GM's of the same year. The sweet black leather in my truck is WAY stronger and thicker than the leather GM uses. I will say the GM leather is softer, but not near as durable. The shape of the seat is more compfortable though, not to mention they are one piece high backs with the Ram logo embroyedered in the headrest.....sweet.
My dad has bought GM's all his life. After I bought my Ram Cummins he bought one himself just like mine to replace his GM also.

well give it a year or two for the engine swap and we'll see whos right. ive got deep connections all the way to admin at daimler, word eventually gets around to the body shop and paint booth at a dealership.

Up here in Flint Michigan Chevy/GMC trucks and GM cars are the majority. I've alway liked chevy trucks, me and my dad combined currently have 3 Chevy trucks, 85,86,96 and we really like them. But I do like Dodge now that they have the hemi. I probably wouldn't buy a Ford, but their super dutys are nice. Chevy will probably always be my favorite though since my dad worked for them for so long and that's what almost everyone drives where I live.

not that i hate dodge or anything, but i have a feeling they will go out of buisness in thenext 20 years due to gas prices and their horrible fuel economy. The worst thing they could have done was put hemis and 5.7L's in their cars, not trucks. and it doesnt look like the way the Jeeps got hemis in them too doesnt look too good for them either. thats just y opinion. If Bush gets impeached(Republicans always make gas prices go up) then dodge will be the 2nd best in te industry, but Chevy outrules them all.

no offence, but thats retarded reasoning, 1, presidents have nothing to do with the price of gas, the market deterimines what gas prices are, could he give out some of the resesrves and lower hte prices? yeah sure, but those are RESERVES. anyway, its not like the Dodge hemi has better or worse fuel economy than fords V10, or chevy's 8 leiter V8, and they all deliver comperable power rateings. all 3 companys have diesels however, and all 3 of them get 20mpg and up depending on the way you drive it, hot rodders will only get 16mpg, but its all in the way people drive, and gas motors are getting more gears so they have to work less at higher speeds so fuel milage is going to go up. for example, a few years ago when the power stroke was introduced, they had 4 speed automatics and 5 speed manuals, now they have 5 speed automatics and 6 speed manuals, and next year for the new dodges, their getting new 6 speed automatics.

I really like chevy too and I want it to always be the best..but there's no way dodge is going to go out of business anytime soon...they are giving what a lot of people want with the hemi engine's power, plus the hemi engines are optional features, they still offer cars like the magnum and charger with a V-6, Dodge and Chrysler are far to experienced to go out of business for something like that.
