700 sp jetting

Default 700 sp jetting

i just put on my 800 header with the white brothers muffler and it runs like crap
what jetting should i change thanks

You need to do a plug check. I would say you need to go up on the main a couple sizes and maybe adjust the air/fuel mixture screw.

I have 2002 that came with a 162 main in it and I put it back in but I put the 800 air intake from the air box on too and it seems good in the hot summer but mite go up on the pilot too as it gets colder this fall.

mine runing to lean wont stay runing this started when i put the 800 header and WB muffler on

More air flow = bigger jets.

King do you know what jet you have some had 155 and later they went back up to a 157 I think

The 2002 700 had the 162.5 main, mine was one of the early models that came like that before they started putting in the 155 mains in '03.


I would start with a 170 or a 175 main and work down. Maybe even raise the needle 1 clip position. With the stock intake I'd start with a 162.5 or a 165.
