My wife's pretty small and love's riding her Sportsman 400. I'm new to Polaris, but did my homework and many test rides and concluded that this was the machine for her, and if she didn't like it I knew I would. I hardly ever get to ride it. She seems to like the fact that there is always more power than she needs.

 

I would take a look at the Honda sporttrax 250 EX. I bet it is going to be a very reliable machine , my only concern is lack of power . I think it is a great entry level machine .

 

I think your wife would enjoy the polaris magnum 325 4x4. Its a 4 stroke, light handling, and it backs her up with confidents with switchable 2 to 4 wheel drive.
My girlfriend has an LT250R I think she's crazy!!! I'm trying to get her on something a little less snappy, like an LT80.LOL And I'm getting a little pead off when she brags about smoking my scrambler 400 in a race to her friends.

Just picked up a 00 Trailblazer for my wife we`ll see how it goes. This will be her first quad and first time trail riding. I didn`t want to spend a lot on her first one as women are allowed to change their minds without notice (LOL). 5 mo. old we picked it up for $2800 if she likes it in year or so maybe she`ll get the Scrambler and I can upgrade. HTH

Easteregg I think she'll like it, the automatic trans. will make the ride more enjoyable for her. And the machine it self is comfortable.
My girlfriend and I were looking at one for her, I really what to she her on something thats more controlable before winter comes. The last thing I want to see is her losing it on ice and rapping herself around a tree. My health insurance does'nt cover accidental ATV damage.LOL

I recently got my wife a Trailblazer and it is her first also. She hopped on my Scrambler 400 and it made her a little nervous, so I got her something smaller to get used to first just in case she decides to get overconfident!
