Flywheel magnets?
I have a 94 sport 400l. I am missing one of the four magnets on the flywheel.
Is this bad for the engine? Could this cause a lot of engine vibration? Can you have a magnet glued back on? Thanks Jeff |
Flywheel magnets?
I have used some good 2-part epoxy and glued them back on before. Centrifugal force will tend to help things stay in place. Vibration from not being there really isnt a problem. The only issue to worry about would be not charging the battery or erratic spark. If you decide to glue it back on be sure to get the polarity correct.

Flywheel magnets?
I do not have the other magnet. Bought it like that. Noticed it was missing when I changed out the counter balance.
Can you buy the individual magnets? i have another flywheel but it has 6 magnets on it. I heard you cant use the 6 mag flywheel in place of the 4 mag. |
Flywheel magnets?
You are correct the other flywheel will have the motor backfiring and farting like crazy.
