I thought I saw Rick say that the cylinder walls were thick enough on the Boss to even go up to a 424 (not sure on that number).

Just emptied the piggy bank (44 and still have a piggy bank) for some new plastic on the Boss. If I get a bigger bank, I'll be saving for the bore kit, and probably go with the 424.

There is alot you can do to the 330 to make it much better. The biggest thing would be clutch mods. The stock clutching is pretty tame and the 330 has alot more power than you think. My 330 beats sp400's the way it is now. You can get a white brothers silencer, k&n filter, EPI pink primary spring and maybe even a gear change. The clutching makes the biggest difference. Start with the primary spring. I have tried alot of springs and the EPI pink is by far the best spring for the 330. I have turned a few guys here on to this spring and they also have tried others with no luck.

I don't know how much time or money you've got invested in the parts so far, but EPI sells a kit with weights, springs and probably other parts (catalog is in the reading room at home). If I remember right, it abouts 75 bucks for the set up. doesn't seem like too bad of a price to me.

Must have been thinking about just a rebuild kit for my model. Check out their site and maybe since you have the springs, you just get the parts you need.

THANKS GUYS. I SETTLED FOR A 414 CC KIT FROM RICK RITTER (470.00), A CLUTCH KIT FROM EPI (179.00) AND A BIG GUN EXHAUST (THE PISSER IS THAT THE MUFFLER IS NOT FOR MY ATP, IT IS FOR A MAGNUM 330 CC, SO I WILL HAVE TO WELD IT) 229.00 ACCORDING TO RICK MY TOP SPEED SHOULD INCREASE BY ATLEAST 10 MPH, AND ACCORDING TO EPI THE CLUTCH KIT WILL MAKE IT REALLY SNAPPY. SWEET... I CANT WAIT TO INSTALL THEM NEXT WEEK

$470
+179
+229
Total $878 PLUS installation and welding. HOLY SHUCKS did you spend a lot of $$!

maybe i'm stupid to say this but if it were ME, i would have spent that to upgrade your '04 ATP330 to an '05 ATP500. it's just $$ out the window with no resale value doing the mods to the 330 (if anything the mods are viewed as a negative).

i must just be stupid or something.(or just getting old! LOL)

sorry
