is there a quik way to deglaze the the clutches w/o removing them?
How much of a differnce does this make, and how do you know if it needs to be done?

Thanks

There is no deglazing the clutches. Just cleaning them. The clutches are supposed to be smooth and shiny. The belt will also be sort of shiny to. If you clean the clutches you should use soap and water or a non chlorinated brake clean.

The PVT gurus say to use warm soapy water and Scotch Bright pads. Since yours is a 95 it can't hurt to take the clutch cover off and clean the whole deal up. Actual glazing on the clutch sheaves will allow the belt to slip easier, so a microscopic scuffing to remove build-up on the sheave faces will give better belt grab.

Scotch Brite pads work very well, I buff them at every cleaning 500 miles or so....
