What's the difference 05/06
What are the major differences (if any) between a 05 sportsman 700 EFI and a 06 700 EFI. A dealer is over stocked with 05's and there offering a deal that's hard to pass up. Thanks

What's the difference 05/06
actually there are some changes:
-Smooth one-way drive clutch (similar to 800EFI)is now standard on 500EFI, 700 carb, and 700EFI models. - smaller hub design for improved low speed operation. - Park lock removed on all Sportsmans. -no longer necessary to activate foot brake to shift between P-R; L-H. -1" longer shift lever for easier shifting. -rear foot brake action improved. -cast aluminum rims added to 700EFI. -avail colors: red/black with cast rims, green/black with black steel rims, black/silver with cast rims, or mossy-oak w/ black steel rims. some neat new improvements if you ask me! Tha-tha-that's all folks! ~MT |

I have heard that the '06 has hydraulic lifters. No more valve adjustments. I do not know for sure though.
