Does it stall when let off on the gas, or does it stall once in a while? How much throttle free play do you have?

When you're driving and let off the throttle to stop the quad, right when the wheels stop, it stalls. When you stop, the rpm's dip, and about 50 percent of the time it stalls. The idle is right at 1150 and the throttle free play is right on specs. It seems like the EBS is not releasing fast enough.

Mine did the same thing and once I gave the throttle a little more free play it went away. Your adjusting the free play with the adjuster near the throttle correct. You need about 1/8" free play.

I'll give it a little more free play and see what happens. It can't hurt. Thanks

i'm telling you mine DID the same thing! mine is running perfectly now!

my ENGINE was out of ALIGNMENT. (i would guess that yours is to. it's not the ETC or clutching. put the damn spacer back in and align the ENGINE.)

my shifting if perfect and no more stalling.

Could you PM me with your dealer's number so I can have my dealer call yours? Was it a big deal to align your engine? How did they do it? Mine is still doing it today. Please give me a private message with your dealer's number and the guy who fixed yours so I can get mine fixed too.... Thank you

Just curious, but is it hard for you to shift your quad between gears or when you put it in low or high does it creep without pressing the throttle? I bought a new 06 500efi and my clutch was out of alignment too, but mine was hard to shift and did creep when you put it in low.

take it back and demand a refund! I wish there was some kind of organization that would represent the consumer in situations like this. redmtn spent tons of cash on a new machine and it has been back to the dealer at least twice with only 9 miles and 10 hours! is it just me or does it sound like someone is getting hosed. then the dealer just plays dumb, says they made some changes and the bike still has the same problem. we need some laws to protect the consumer that make it easier to get satisfaction from the seller/dealership. and it's next to impossible to get a hold of the manufacturer, if you do, they refer you back to the dealer, assuring you they are "competent". let's stop buying new machines fellas and let them sit on their inventory and wonder what they did wrong, maybe they will realize they need to make better products before we will buy them. that's not realistic, however, when you guys have ridiculous problems like redmtn, make the effort to send the manufacturer a written letter describing your dissatisfaction with their product. together we can make a difference and maybe someday be able to purchase a machine that lives up to our expectations.

peace
