Scrambler has a mind of it's own. Please help!

My scrambler will start one minute just fine but then if i shut it off it may not start again. It cranks over but has no spark. It was running kind of rough before this happen the first time. Any input on what may cause this would be appreciated. Could it be the CDI?

Hey Jim, I meant no disrespect. I just couldn't see the connection.

I would start with a testlight at the ignition switch. When it won't start, check for voltage TO the switch. No power=problem between switch and battery. If OK, check for voltage on the far side of the switch (wire going to cdi). No power=bad ignition switch. If OK, check same wire at cdi. No power= open in wiring harness. If OK, cdi needs to be tested.

I had a problem with my key switch. It seemed like condensation so I sprayed some ignition sealant on the back side and the wires and haven't had any problems since. Don't know if it will help but maybe.
