hi all. is there a way to test the 2 thermo switches that are on this quad as they are very expensive help?????????

95 and 96 models had problems with the fan motor brushes. They were not sealed well and moisture gets in and the brushes tend to stick.

Sometimes you can let the quad heat up and peck on the fan motor and it will come on.

If your fan motor has this problem you can take it apart and clean it up and it will be fine.

You have one switch mounted on your rad. that controls the fan.

All it does is allow current to pass through it when the coolant get a certain temp.

 

thanx cornbread2 i did what you suggested and it work. the fan is now work'in now i just have to take it out and clean the fan
