scrambler 500 sand, hunting
Im thinking of upgrading from my 330 TB. I am having a hard time deciding between the scrambler 500 4x4 and the Bruteforce 650. I know they are totally different machines, but I can't decide between sport or full blow utility. I will be riding in all types of terrain. Sand, desert, mountains, snow and hunting from it during hunting season. I need some expert advice. How does the scram handle in the sand? Anyone ride at dumont or pismo. Has anyone hunted off of theirs? Can it pack out a buck in the rough country? I'm leaning toward the Scrambler for the pure fun and all around bike. What do you guy's think.

First of all I have owned the following:
'94 Polaris 400L
'00 500 4x4 magnum
'02 650 prairie Kawie
'00 400 Polaris Scrambler
'99 BUBBA BIKE, Below
'03 Trailblazer 400, Below
My buddy has the 500 Scrambler 4x4
On my 650 Prairie I could out jump, out ride, out drag, out pull, out dune, out mud, out play, out wheelie, and save fuel doing it, out do all the above except for the "BUBBA BIKE"
At Glamis making the big loop from Gecko rd. down sand highway to Patton Valley then east across the dunes to gravel rd. north to Glamis Beach store. The Prairie had enough fuel, the Polaris ran at at 46 miles, the 650 goes 59 to 72 miles. Depends on how high the roost. One more thing. the 650 BF rides better over all, and after the 100 miler you are not as tired. The 650 BF is a do anything better quad that looks like a utility quad.
The 650 BF is my old quad with new plastic.( not the 650 BF I)
Answer...............650BF......605BF........650BF ........650BF..........650BF.
That is my next quad.
Polaris fans will be after me now!........I still own two of them people...
good luck................handycap

Not knockin the bike or anything-just cost a hell of alot more!
ps.In my opinion the scrammy rides MUCH softer and smoother. No comparison.

Thanks for the replies. I think Im sold on the BF. As far as the price goes, I can get the BF for just a few hundred more. I even found an 05 for $5500 OTD. To good to pass up. I'm glad to hear the BF performed well in the sand. I won't be riding it in the sand that much but when my buddies go to Glamis of Dumont I want to be able to ride with them. The scrambler is no dout an awsome machine, but the BF is going to suit my needs better. It's nice to geet honest opinons on a kawasaki from the polaris forum.
