not that i swing that way but i love the guy........hes better than he once was.......cant wait 2 get the results of the compression test...........rick what is the compression suposed 2 be?

 

Your compression should be 120 - 125 pounds on a good tight engine .

The wear limit is down around 100 pounds .

Check the compression with ignition off , or grounded , and the throttle wide open .

If it is low put about 2 teaspoons of oil down the plug hole and recheck . If the compression improves a bunch get out the wrenches . Oil will seal the gaps and give you a fake reading . If the compression does not rise the gauge is probably shot .

 

Believe it or not the stupid taiwanese Pheonix stock runs darn close to stock TB times at the dragstrip. About 8 flat in 300 feet loose sand at our track. I thought the pheonix would be another slow taiwanese POS. Good luck gurney. Check your jetting etc. Sounds too rich or dirty airfilter. Stock dirty airfilter is a performance killer with a 250 mainjet and ritter pipe on our TB.

 

so let me guess if the compression is low time 2 rebuild the motor?

 

How did this machine run before the modifications?

 

it ran good.............it runs better now thers just a huge flatspot right off the line

 

your clutch weights maybe 2 heavy for your spring
