Progressive suspesion brand front Spring Kit for 05/06 SP
With the springs and collars installed and the collars adjusted all the way up (most compression), the springs just barely touched. And it feels as if the front suspension is softer, nothing scientific, just feel. Plus, the Scrambler springs look a LOT thinner than stock (didn't measure difference).

Has anyone done any resarch on this CO and there springs. They have a listing for 05 and 06 SP bikes. The spring rates are also lower than that of the MV. I belive the MV front spring is 210 in/lbs. While on the subject of the MV7 springs. How does the SP ride with the MV front springs. Does the rear feel soft or is it a good ballance.

From information that I have seen, the stock 2005 SP700 spring rate is 70/111. The MV is 75/170. I have heard good things about EPI, but I am done experimenting (2" spacers, Progressive springs), think I am just going with the MV springs. Would like to see some feedback from WGMARQ.

Bytor,
That's good info. Wonder how you'd test you springs. I love the fact that we all get diff info from diff sources. I was told the 06 700 springs are 50-90. This came from polaris direct. I called them and asked there tech support. Who knows they could have fed me BS. They also told me the MV7 springs are 210. Again I'll agree that that's probably the way to go.
