Default Trailblazer for sand

I got my wife a Trailblazer and we ride alot of woods type trails. Everything is just fine so far. We go to the Oregon dunes once a year and she is going to want more poop out it. I have a 400 Scrambler and it does pretty good in the sand but is too twitchy for her in the trails at home. So.....any suggestions on temporary power? I know Ritter Cycle has good packages for these. Changing the pipe would be great but I dont want to change the cluch out twice a year. Is there anyone running a good pipe on a stock clutch or rotating pipes one one clutch? Also the local laws are pretty strict about noise down there. I want to be able to switch everything back to the mild power curve that it has now when we get home.

Put a performance RcR pipe on and use the stock silencer. Wrap the new pipe with cloth exhaust heat wrap or silver heat tape to help keep noise to minimum, rejet and use stock front drive spring and go to a RcR recomended secondary spring.(maybe a front spring change for everyday from RcR)
Next a very light set of tires or a least aluminum wheels to reduce weight.

A Trailblazer 250 with pipe and paddle tires with a 135lb rider will out run a 400 Scrambler with a 210lb rider.

We ride Oklahoma Sand Dunes and California at Glamis.

Good luck...................

Bigdumb,

I had a highly moded 250 a while back. If you want power with quiet silencer and a good spring that you dont have to change all the time you can get the HPD trail pipe with a stock 400 silencer, a EPI pink primary and a set of paddles. This works great. It will give you alot better power without the noise, stock engagement with strong mid and top end. This way you can keep the setup on at all times. If you get a pipe I have a stock 400 silencer if you are interested.
