Mine feels like that too, and I bought mine spankin' new last year.

The only time it bothers me is when on pavement --- it's real noticable there. A pipe & primary spring would probably make that problem go away.

I haven't had the cash to do anything but a K & N filter. Noticed a small torque increase on the trails, but the real test will be when the warm weather hits.... Stock, mine would wheelie over backwards in winter, and then not even pick up the front end in summer (real rich from the factory -- a good thing!)

seems like some of the guys who put a heelclicker clutch kit in should be able to tell you if that would fix the problem. i myself am still wondering if the differnces betwen the 05 and 06 yrs are enough that you do not need the kit. i know the weights are differnt so ive heard.

I, for one, would be interested in the info Stendori mentioned. I also read that the actual physical size changed between the 05 and 06, the 06 being longer, wider, and higher. Why? I wonder what Polaris has added? Does anyone know? I will be picking up my new 06 800, next week. This is why I'm interested in finding some answers. Thanks, Will

I have run into the same problem.... Here is my suggestion before you think clutch...
Remove the belt cover and clean all that fine belt dust out with a degreaser....
I would also suggest replacing the belt cover gasket.... just to make sure you have a proper seal.

Try it and let me know?

Jon
