Default Replacing belt right now need help!!!!!

That secondary assembly should narrow and expand the two belt ramps with ease.

You should be able to turn the two sides by hand with nothing more than spring tension resisting you.

If the secondary was all seazed up then that may have been your problem.

Make sure it rotates against the spring and rides the helix ramps freely to adjust the width of the belt ramps.

So when i rev it up with the cover off it should open right? Cause that is what it does. And i dont think it would turn freely when i had it off.

I have tore this atv down a half dozen times, no clue what to do now. The back pulley i think it's called the secondary might be the problem. The spring in it could be bad i guess. I didnt pop the inner thing out like it was supposed to when i took it apart so i am thinking that might be the issue. I am either gonna take it to the dealer tomorrow or sell it, not sure yet.
