he had filled it with oil before winter and he rode it a total of 8 times for a couple hours each over winter and when he took it out on sunday it was 3/4 of a quart low and there is no leak. any idea wut it might be?

 

need some more info here. when you say it was 3/4 low do you mean the oil tank was this low cold? b/c that will happend because oil drains back into the engine when it's not running. that's why when checking oil on a pred you have to run it for a minute first, then shut it off and check. if you checked it cold and it was low DO NOT add oil. have a freind who bought an '03 from an under-educated dealership who did this, and when he started riding it, pressure forced oil up the breather hose into his airbox. his air cleaner was totally coverred in oil and the box was full of it... not good... anyway, if it was low before you started it, fire it up then shut down and check again. it should be ok. good luck

 

no he had ran it for a little while when he said it was loud so he turned it off and checked the oil and it was almost a quart low. i told him to keep riding normal but check the oil before and after the ride every time. but is there any thing else it could b?
