PLEASE no biased opinions! Im lookin for a new, used quad. I cant decide between a 05 400EX for $4200, a 04 pred for $3800, 0r a 03 660r for $3500. They are all mainly stock. Im gonna be ridin trails, rippin around ( donuts, wheelies, powerslides, and hillclimbs), and smokin friends. Which should i get?

 

If I were you I wouldnt even consider the 400ex it just dosent compare to the predator or raptor, its very out of date the only changes they have made to it since 95 have been the plastic and they added reverse but between the predator and raptor the predator has a little more top end and i think the rappy is a little top heavy but the raptor has reverse .. if i were i would look for a 05 TLD because it has reverse you could probably find one for about 4500

The predator for sure. Like said before, don't even consider the 400ex if you want power. They are a great quad and even a little snappy, but not even in the same ball park in performance.

 

You mean the kfx 400 a.k.a Z400 its a great all around quad it wont have the power as a predator but it would be a very good trailquad if you where to get one of those you should get an 05 because they made several changes to it like piggy back shocks, they lightinged it, 37mm carb and some few other thing i would chose between that and the predator

 

I would lean toward a good clean 05 400EX . It doesn't have the power of the other two but it is the most reliable out of the bunch .

No a 450r is for racing you could use it on trails, it has a very light front end makes hill climb scary, no reverse and the motors wear out quicker than other 4 strokes... im still saying go with 05 or above z400, kfx400 or preddy but if you wanna smoke your friends get the 05 or 06 TLD predator the new outlaw maybe a good choice also but if you want one of those ur gonna have to shell out about 7g's
