Gator Tire Size?

Gator Tire Size?
I want to purchase Gator tires for my Sportsman... I am goin with 26" because of the bigger lugs but i have heard that gators are smaller and i will acually be getting something around a 25" tire. I want a bigger than stock tire for more ground clearance.... Help would be greatly appreciated
