I bought a 2002 SP 700 new and its always run great. Last year up in Utah it rained on it all night and the next day it ran like crap, missing and backfiring. It cleared up later and ran fine. Then the next week we got caught in a down pour and it would run crappy again and would go 100' or so and die, it would restart and then go another 100' until we got it back. The next day it ran fine, no rain. Of course I live in the desert so no rain here.

I just pulled the plastic off and ran water over it while it was running trying to see if there was a short was hoping to see it ark. Ran ok so I waited until it was darker and ran more water on it and could not see anything so I turned off water and was reving it up, it started to run like crap like in Utah and then when I tried to ride around to the garage it quit twice.

Any ideas?
