Don't listen very well do I?

I have probable read this a dozen times "Don't drive through water fast" on this site. Well I did it and things went just as I read, filled the belt case and air box with water. Was able to get the water out of the belt case (I will be installing a drain of some sort) but the air filter was soaked I limped though the rest of the run. Of coure there was a bunch of other bike around for some good hearted teasing but all in all a good day.

Live and learn, at least you didn't get hurt. I tried a wheely through a large puddle once, lost control and almost made friends with a good sized tree. I won't be trying that again anytime soon either!

Hmm,, a couple weeks ago, I went riding with some others and we came across a large water hole. Well, when the first guy started through the puddle, my nephew went to one side and I went to the other and hit the water hard jsut to get a nice big wall of water going, to drench the first guy through. It worked rather nicely to. haha We went back and forth through the water several times. The water depth was about half way between the flooboard and the top of the fuel tank. I have a 05 800. I never had a problem with water in the clutch cover or air box. Last weekend we were playing in the water and mud in about the same depth and no problems. Maybe I am just lucky?
