Desperately need help with Sport 400 oil change!
they say it takes 75 cc at an oil change. but if you over fill it just blows out the vent. I usaully put in about 125-150 cc. and it hasn't put any out the vent line but they it will. it is supposed to be on the knurled area of the dip stick after complete thread in. If you find milky oil in there there is some water in there. If you see this change it again after one ride and see if it is milky again. At the same time as seeing the milky oil check your rad to make sure it is topped up also. As there is possibility that the water came from the seal on the water pump. anyway if you see milky oil again, and you haven't been in deep water. Then there is good chance that the water pump see is on it's way out. fix imediately
And yes they did make 400 two-stroke sportsmans from 94-98. looked old school like a trail boss from the late 80's early 90's

Any info on what oil, how much, and any others tips (see my original posts) would be greatly appreciated!

You don't change the engine oil in a sport 400, it doesn't have any oil to change. The counterbalance oil is changed by taking a 10mm head bolt out from under the engine on the the right side area. No, its not on the pull rope cover. You add oil at the back right and at the very bottom of the engine. You will see a dipstick that screws in. Use 30 wieght oil.
