Predator Rejetting
I recently bought an 06 Predator from my local dealer. The manual says to rejet the carb with a 155 when it falls below 40. I live in Iowa and that time of the year has come. Does it have to be done or should I just ride it and see how it runs then decide from there? Also, the dealer recommended doing a valve adjustment on the quad after 10 hours of break-in. It about that time, do you recommend getting that done?

If your stock then a rejet shouldnt be needed for temp. changes. However..as you might find a predator is very hard to start cold..silly vaccum carb.
Yes you should check your valves after 10 hours..trust me..I had mine in for a valve job after 20 hours and it took them weeks to get it right cause my valves were outta wack.

I have a 05 Pred TLD and haven't had to touch the carb at all. It has started great all last winter. Used it for ice racing buddies winter and plan on doing it again this winter. Stud it up and plow a track at a local pond/lake and have a blast. Maybe the 06' is different? Also had alot of fun riding on moto-x track until the snow gets too deep.
