500 HO that's been sitting
Hi,
I was hoping someone could help me out. I moved to Florida 4 years ago and my 2001 Sportsman 500 HO has been pretty much sitting covered since then. I never drained the gas (I know) and of course the battery is dead. I changed the gas once about 2 years ago and got it pull started but it wouldn't idle without a little help on the throttle. Ran well other than that though. My question would be how much do you think it would cost me to get it going again if I sent it to a dealer? The machine is almost mint and has approx. 75 hours and 200 miles on it. Thanks for any information. |

at least 75.00 and up depending on your dealer. sounds like it needs a carb cleaning not too bad. might consider doing it your self and save the money.

That cheap huh? Wow that makes me happier! How much is a battery and will the tires be a problem sitting on concrete for that long? Also, Should I get the belt changed after sitting?
