I am looking at purchasing a 2003 500 cc preditor quad . i have not seen it yet just pictures. The older fella says it was only trail ridden His lowest is 3100. Is this pretty good on the price? Iwill look at it this sunday but would like to know anything I should look for. From the pictures it looks like a little rust color on the pipes and engine.what does that mean? thanks for your replies Bob

 

not too bad of a price but it beter be near mint. give it a good look over, youll be able to estimate the hours on it.

check the front end out to make sure its not getting loose, thinks like tierods
the rust color shouldnt mean anything much, as long as it is only surface rust

also the 03 has a weaker tranny, so find out if its got the shift kit. if it dont have it they cost about $200 from hpd.
give it a good test ride when you look at it too
