Congrats! You'll love the 800x2. I just bought mine 1 month ago and like it much more than my previous 04.5 500HO. it's got lots of power and the rear seat is comfortable. I put on some 26" Mudlites on ITP wheels and it's a perfect set up. I do have a question for x2 owners tho......... How do you strap down a flat 3 gallon fuel container on the front? There is no slots for the straps it came with......Good luck with the new machine.

Boy did I get some bad news today. Seems that Polaris underestimated how many units they would sell. Dealer says he can't get ahold of a 2007 800 X2. Polaris is all done making them for the year. Switched all over to the 2008's. How much performance difference is there in the 700 compared to the 800? Seems that the 700X2 is my only option.

Supposedly they pushed up the horsepower in the '08 Sportsman because that same engine is in the RZR. The touring seat will probably be more comfortable than the flip up seat on the '07. It's hard imagining it could be less comfortable.

Given those factors plus I've heard the radiator and fan are larger, I would wait for the '08, if the above improvements were in fact made.

Not sure where you live, but Abernathy's in Tennessee has a bunch. These guys are known for being super low price, high volume sellers. Out the door price is $6254, a savings of $3000. For 3K, you can afford to make the drive from Alaska.

Good Luck!

This place, in the Minnesota Twin Cities area had 3 in the showroom when I was there last week. This is where I bought mine recently, good folks to deal with. Largest dealer in the area.

I absolutely love my 07 X2 Deluxe Limited edition. It has a great ride and plenty of room. I admit I only weigh 160, but I think I could easily get another passenger on without getting that close to the tank. I looked and did not think the rear shocks were adjustable, but will check again. I only have 3.5 hrs. so it is not broken in, but doubt that It will wheelie, hope that it does though. I am afraid I will shred the belt, so I bought a spare, as well as a brush guard and K&N air filter which I have not mounted.
Does anyone know of a good rear side mirror setup? I do some riding along the country roads and have to pull onto the road to get around house yards and need a mirror. Polaris discontinued the one they sold. I bought a Ken Sean one, but have not installed it yet and hope it works out. I also bought a V plow for it. I bought and added the foot risers in the back because my wife is short. They also have some 07 X2 Deluxes in Maumee Ohio at Honda East www.hondaeasttoledo.com . They gave me a good price and money off the extras.

My dealer said the same thing about bumping the HP ratings for the '08 sp800 & sp700. He said the sp800 should be at 56-58hp and the sp700 should be 50-52hp now. I forgot to ask him about the sp500efi.

I just picked up the 07 800X2 Standard. They ended up finding me one. All I can say is WOW. This thing is nuts. Handling, comfort, looks, and POWER!!! One of the best purchase's I have ever made.
