I have a 2004 400 Sportsman that was running fine. I unloaded it off of a trailer and it went dead. It has not started since. I have checked everything I know to check. I get nothing when I check spark plug wire with meter. I had coil checked and it works. I got a email from a polaris owner that is having problems with his Polaris. He said that some Polaris's that the coil wire is run through the frame and gets pinched, and will short out. He said one shop has 14 units in with this problem
Well this weekend we pulled the coil wire out and It is pinched very bad. I don't know it this is the problem yet as I will have to get a new coil wire today. But is a good possibility. I understand Polaris is aware of this and will do nothing. I guess I will have to figure out how to reroute the coil wire. Hope this solves the problem. Will post later
