Muffler/air box filter/jetting to match! cheap easy hp!
Clutch kit, sorta like a shift kit!

They are reliable...
Just keep the zerks greased, it will last for ever!
(do the new ones still have these?)
I agree about it being a perfect trail bike..
Ive ridden prairies, sportsmans, bayous, quadsports, quad racers,
foremans, ranchers, etc etc etc
they all had me beggin to jump back on my scrammy
I hate trading off machines in the woods,
And I almost never let anyone ride my machine!
ahaha cause their machine stinks!
Im still riding a 1996 scrammy 400

I have a stock 03 scrambler 500 4x4. The only thing i added to it was a vapor digital speedometer. I was racing one of my friends down the road and it was maxed out at 87. As for reliability, its the most reliable quad i have ever owned. The only problem i have with it now it tht i have to rebuild the carb. I love my scrambler. They run at about 45-50 horsepower stock.

For mods im about to put new rear tires for grip. Get a bigger intake for the air box. Get a Twin Air air filter. And a DG full exhaust system. DO NOT CHANGE SPROCKET SIZES. You will give the rear end more torque than the front end and risk damaging the transfer case. Keep a battery in it because the awd system is run by and electro magnet and wont work properly unless you have a battery.

These guys have 5 stage kits with a claim of bringing the stock 36hp up to 47hp with there last kit.
Aaen Performance - Polaris ATV 500
Unless your a road rider no ATV is going faster then 35mph to 40 and only for short spurts, at least on the trails we have.
