port it yourself, also there is a little more than just milling your head, there are other changes that need to be made and if you port, you will want to change your clucthing

Where would I get info on porting it myself? I have access to just about any machine, being I work at a machine shop.

Not recommended to port your own cylinder until you have an understanding n what lowering and raising ports does to your timing and flow.I have done my own but it took awhile and lots of measuring with calipers.

If you're not sure how to do it, save yourself the cost of a new head and have it done by someone. Like ftwflh said, Rick is a very good person to have do it.

Give him a call, he doesn't charge for advice.

get it done right the first time by the right person i wouldnt try doing it yourself that takes some skill i had someone do my sled i shouldnt of and the thing was a dump i ended up having it all redone to get it right all i know that the guys who redid it said the port job was terrible.

so will a properly built trail blazer hang with a 99 stock 400 ex honda??

Maybe not a 400 EX but they will hang with the 300EX and 350 Warriors

You could play with a 400ex but it would always win. My best 300ft time was 6.2 seconds, that's rockin' for a 250. Doc

brotther inlaw has a 400ex and he is always giving me crap so when i buy a couple of different quads i was thinking about a trailblazer for my kid and building the crap out of it and smoking him but that isnt going to work...build my old 400 sp that might.
or just buy a 800 can am renegade and be done with it. seriously will a stock 500 scrambler take it? i live in wisconsin i need 4x4 do alot of winter riding on lakes and such so a scrambler is on the list.
