glacier II plow frame????
I have a Moose plow that came with my used 95 Sportsman. The mounting plate does not look especially strong... looks like 1/8 inch steel with 1/4 inch mounting brackets. I have only used it a couple of times, but I have rammed the edge of my gravel driveway pretty hard and even took a "nose-dive" onto it once when I unintentionally launched over a 3 foot snow-bank. So far no problems whatsoever. Am I just getting lucky, or is Moose especially sturdy?... or... is it just a matter of time? I really don't want to invest in another plow, so I'm wondering if there are certain things that I should be careful about? I have been running it up over the 6 inch "hump" that is the edge of my driveway to get the snow out of the way. Does that sound especially rough to anyone? I know nothing about plowing and plow blades other than what I learned doing it.

Your Moose plow pin-mounts under the ATV and is SUPER STRONG.

mt,
Thanks for posting those pics again of the reinforced mount. I highly advise anyone with the Glacier II system to have that done if they do any significant plowing in a less than ideal environment... ie... a big, long, dirt/rock driveway. LOL
As for me... I'm moving on to a better system. The piece of mind will be WELL worth the extra bucks. Plus, with the Eagle System I can just get a new mount if I get a different ATV. The rest of the system will just hook right up.
