Can't start 400 Polaris
 

I am kinda new at atv's. I bought a 400 polaris new in 2005 and never had a problem before. I am trying to get it started now (parked in the non-heated garage and cold outside) When I turn the key nothing shows up on the display and not a sound. I tried charging the battery but it seems to charge fine. Any help??

when you charged it, is it still hooked up to the wheeler? w/ the charger on it should show up pn the screen w/ the key on. make sure the kill switch isnt on, as it wont let power threu to the pod at all. check the battery connections to the starter as well. get back to us. if theres any juice at all , you can pull start it as well.

The kill switch is in the "ON" position. I charged the battery outside of the bike. Can I try to start it with the battery charger in boost position?

if your not getting anything to the pod for power, then it doesnt matter if you boost it or not its not going to start. not sure if theres a inline fuse/link or not but worth a look as your tracing power up thru. if you do use the boost on the charger, dont use it too long so wont do any damge to the wheelers electronics and if it starts unhook it fast.

I tried to boost it with the charger and unhooked it quickly and it worked. It's a new charger, so maybe it's not charging properly.
