Motor Won't Die!
 

I just finished putting a basket case back together. I got a 2001 325 Magnum that had been sitting up with a blown engine. I got it running and it runs pretty good except it won't stop running when I turn the key off! It will only stop when I use the red switch on the left handle grip. I have the manual and I've been through the wiring harness schematics and I can't find the answer. Any ideas before I replace the ignition switch?

are you sure the ground is hooked up to the switch? is the switch it self been tested to see if it turns off the circuit.

mine did the same thing. when i posted the question most of the responses were to look for a disconnected ground wire. I never found one and it started working properly one day so i think it was a short in a ground wire somewhere. i guess besides looking for a disconnected wire look for any damaged or pinched wires also. Well at least its running
