On my 2001 scambler 500 2/4 i have everything stock expept i have put a K&N air filter on it. i like it because you can clean it over and over again unlike the paper filters.i was thnking about doing more but now i am just looking to sell it as far as other upgrades i would sugest a winch and skid plates if you are doing trail stuff.

It is not a 2 stroke so a complete pipe will not make a huge diff. What you need to do is save up money and buy the prebuilt kits. HPD is your best bet. Get the carb(jet) kit with the airbox mod, and the clutch kit. This will make the most diff. in throttle response and takeoff! If you want to get faster acceleration to top speed, a roller secondary will make a huge diff.
HPD is also avail from Rick(Ritter cycle). If you call him and tell him what you have and what you want he will set everything up in one kit and ship it to you.
If you start messing with springs and weights, you will need a tach. and lots of trial and error to tune in your clutch. The rpm at which your quad produces the most power is what you want to set your clutch to shift out at. Unless you have the means of a dyno machine to test it you are better off sticking to a brand as they develop each part based of there other parts. HPD exhaust will adjust your shift out rpm so your clutch should be an HPD to take advantage of the increase in HP at that rpm. I am not saying HPD is the only one but they are very good at what they do and I would use then again if I had a stock scrammy.

stock wheelies are easy, just practice, i can ride them no problem...
it's all in the timing and weight tranfers when you wheelie
heres a video of me doing them w/my hot seat exhaust
Scrammy Wheelies
about 2 weeks after that i took it off and put on my stock exhaust because my hot seat broke again and i could still pull wheelies no problem
my suggestion is to find a big grass field, practice alot, and it wont be long and u'll be riding some good ones
