2006 EFI 500 still won't start
I am still fighting with my 500 EFI. I replaced the fuel pump. no go
I have cleaned the injector no go. i can spray starter fluid in the engine and it starts right up. can anyone tell me how much fuel should come out of the injector when you turn the key. I have fuel coming out of the injector wondering if it not enough. |

well on an 800 there should be a constant 39 psi in fuel pressure. did you check all the connections for being loose or corroded. dont have the key on when cheching them.

you ned a specail pressure gage. if you look you'll see a tire styleair valve on the rail and thats where you check the pressure or bleed off the pressure. do you know if the fuel pump is now working.

yes the fuel pump is working very well. When I turn the key without the injector attached fuel flows easily.

well the t-bap sensor is what tells the ecu what to flow the fuel at. if this is faulty or has been loosened or moved it will have to be remapped. ive been reading my service manual on what to look for and its bascily saying its a failry simple operation(yea right your saying like me lol). did you check the dispaly for any codes?

The display has no messages
i am unable to locate the pressure valve you referrred to. Can you direct me to perhaps a more detail of its location? Sure appreciate all your patience with me. the t-bap what is this and where is it located |

you put it in the dianostic screen and checked right? the t-bap sensor is bolted to the intake housing in front of the airbox. the valve should be on the fuel rail.
