i think it was a funny car at a drag strip in nebraska

 

i was at Bristol when the first 300mph pass happened. that was cool.the ADRL is alot better race than the HRA's IMO.the vibe is so much better and its a good place to take the family.the drivers and crews are a great group of people.the paint schemes are killer i'll try to post some of our favorites in a little while

I love them doorslammers.There not as fast as the big boys.but cooler to watch.And alot of them guys are doing it on there own money...

 

the ADRL is 1/8 mile outlaw pro mod.Jason Scuggs a farmer from Mississippi holds the world record 205mph in 660feet. check out adrl.us they race once a month tulsa is next in april. they give away free tickets for the races. it's a 2day race.it finishes on sat.when you leave sat night you know who won.they have 4 classes pro extreme (fastest class) pro nitrous ,extreme 10.5 and pro extreme motorcycle. the bikes are cool to watch .they do around 160 to 165 mph in the 1/8 the front wheel don't touch the track untill they cross the finish line. IF YOU GET THE CHANCE TO GO GO THE BEST SIDE BY SIDE RACING IMO

 

Very nice pics, I worked on 2 rails in La. on the north shore from new orleans.
both ran7.70's in bracket racing. My friends rail turned right as he hit the brakes at the finishline clocked @ about 177 mph & hit the right wall, broke the front off then the back came around and hit. Knocked the the whole rearend out with frame still attached. Bright side=he walked away & motor still good. every thing else is junk. I live 1hr. away from memphis dragstrip now. Lots of good races there.
