does anyone have the exact measurements of the 26" mudlite xtrs?? trying to figure out if I have enough clearance.

i know on the 27" they messure a little tall so assuming the same forthe 26" just a guess.

The 26's will fit. they front only come in 9"front and the Polaris factory front is 8". I am running 27's and had to do a little mod to make them fit. I was within an 1/8 of an inch of making it work without any mod, so I'm sure the 26's will fit fine.

are the 27's a little wider even though both are 9" wide tires?

No the fronts are the same. I did notice that 2 of my friends have the 26" XTR's on there machines and on the rear it says they are 11", but when I measured them they were only 10 1/4" and my 27's were a true 11" wide.
A little trick I learned to get some extra clearance if the tire hits the tie rod is to unbolt the outer tie rod and then move it to the bottom of the bracket and rebolt it from the underside.
I was affraid it was going to effect the geometry, but nothing seemed to change.

you mean you put the end of the tie rod upside down on the bottom side of the strut mount?? doing that would make the tie rod slanted right?

how much would going up one size affect the speedo?

Yes there is an angle, but there is plenty of room to lengthen the tierod. My buddy did the same. I have ridden quite a bit with no problem.
As far as the speedo goes, I'm sure it's off a little, but I don't worry about radar, there are no speed traps where I ride.

that's not too bad. i have my gps on mine, so if i wanted to i could see how fast i really am going.
