I'M PROUD TO BE AN AMERICAN!

All, (I thought of no way better to honor my #1000 post
as a 2yr supporting member!)

I know there are alot of American patriots here in
this forum. I just wanted to thank all military servicemen
called to Active and Reserve duty overseas deployed
and throughout may God bless them and their
family's as they make personal sacrifices to serve
and protect our country and the world in War and battles
on foreign lands, Middle east and all over.

(All Alies included, thanks to Canada and Great Britian
and others)

Semper Fi,

R'

Congrats Rick, and I second your thoughts on the servicemen and women.

Be careful, it starts out as 1000, then the next thing you know...

Hey RticKwad, congratulations on numero grande!

Your post makes me think of who true heroes are. I just saw a bumper sticker that said, "Support your local heroes". Got me thinking... With all the sports figures, singers, politicians out there that are worshipped like gods, it can ge a little confusing. So, I'll some up who a hero is to me by a quote: "Greater love has no man than this, that a man lay down his life for a friend". Our military personnel are leaving behind families, friends, co-workers, neighbors, our VERY comfortable lifestyles and more to serve and protect their neighbors and this great nation. They deserve our utmost respect, support, and gratitude. Our firemen who run into a burning building, our police who arrest criminals, and the everyday person who sees a need and denies him or her self are my heroes to.

To the whiny politcians, and other cellebrities who say our country is going down the tubes when they are the ones dragging us further down into depravity: I say, go back and crawl under the rocks you came out from under. We, as a nation are better off without your bringing us down.

Just my rambling thoughts. Once again, great post RticKwad.
