Fishlessman - I had chains on an Yamaha years ago - wasn't a big fan. Usually the snow on the lakes settles/packs down quite fast so I don't think chains or screws will be necessary. My buddy uses his AC500 TRV to pull an ice shack 6x10 (approx) on and off the ice without chains or studs. The biggest issue I ever had on the Yamaha (Timberwolf 250 4x2) was getting the frame hung up in a snow drift coming off the lake. At that point it did'nt really matter that I had chains on. I might stud some tires mainly for plowing.

What end of Sebago? I am about 20 miles from Sebago and approximately 4 miles from the Harrison end of Long Lake. I have iced fished Long Lake many, many times. Caught a lot of Brown Trout & Salmon there. I have a 4x8 trailer I use to tow the Yamaha on. Once I got to the lake I would take the wheeler off the trailer - then connect the trailer to the wheeler. Everybody would load the traps, auger, coolers, etc., as well as themselves onto the trailer and I would pull them out on Long Lake. Worked great - and I 'm sure the Polaris X2 will do MUCH MUCH better. Never taken a wheeler on Sebago though.

Damn nice looking camo.. I'm an A C man myself but on the photo icon you can check out my tires, Lots of dirt and mud around here and the rims are offset so I
have 4 in. wider with them. Kept original rims and tires for hard pack trail riding..

western shore on the northwest river just upstream and across from the sebago marina. putting my small lobster boat in tonight. if you do any salmon fishing get on sebago now, last fall we caught a couple 7 pounders and they should be bigger this season, the lake has really come back for salmon in the last couple years

Kids are after me to take them out fishin'. I am picking up my new wheeler tomorrow and Sunday I have the March of Dimes, March for Babies. Sure the kids will want to ride the wheeler as soon as I pick it up - so I don't think I'll be fishing this weekend. Hopefully we can go fishing next week. Did get out on Pennesseewassee (Norway) couple of weekends ago - was still a lot of ice in the lake. Fished a Bass hole, but didn't get anything. Had a lot of fun with the kiddies though - guess that's what matters most.
