Legal to add a little bit of lead to anything you might be stealing from my property. [img][/img]</end quote></div>

I think it's the same in LA because I've heard about Cajuns filling people full of lead out in their yards. I have some new ammo for my .357 MAXIMUM and I'm waiting to try out. It's more powerful than a .44 Magnum and these guys <u>don't want to MAKE MY DAY</u>.

Stories like this make me even more proud of where I live. Small down missouri about 2000 poeple and I live 5 miles outside of said town. On my way into work every day I usually see at least 5 kwads sitting in the front yards of homes or next to them. And I dont know anyone who has had theirs stolen yet. Its one of those towns that EVERYONE knows EVERYONE. If someone stole your kwad and took off for a joy ride old "Tom" from down the road would know that was your bike and would know the lil ***** on it!

I dont trust humanity enough to leave mine out all night tho. Ours is kept in our basement/garage anytime we are not riding them.

You should try putting an alarm on it. I installed one on mine and it works fairly decent for around 30 bucks. There is a guy on ebay that sells them for all kinds of quads.

This is why we can never let the liberals enforce gun control. If you read about ever nation that enforced gun control, there crime rates have just risen. Do you think the theives turned in their guns? Think not. If anyone knows where to get a 50 caliber sub machine gun let me know,I'll figure out how to mount it on my atv. Heck I'll even get JUMBO one.

Man, Jumbo, I hate to hear that someone stole your quad. That rots bigtime. I would do as much as possible to slow them down. Chain, alarm, wheel lock, ignition kill switch, etc. The longer it takes them the less likely they would be to want to hang around long enough to steal it. Paintball guns hurt at close range. Might be great fun to lie-in-wait for the clowns. I don't know. A dog tied to the quad is good as long as it doesn't like visitors. I hate thieves. At least I know that one day there is a judgement that they won't be able to avoid.

Take the two rear wheels off and keep them in your house while you are gone. It doesnt take much to put them back on when ya wanna go riding. Leave the back axel up on a block tp keep your hubs from being damaged. Get thicker chains and better padlocks. I have 3/8in links, and a pad lock that goes for 50$. I have tried to cut my own padlock with 3.5 foot bolt cutters from the back of my towns rescue truck. I CANT DO IT!! The chain was bought at home dept and cost a chunck of change but without a plazma torch, its nearly un breakable. I have my wheela chained through a corner of my shed, using the frame of the shed as the locking point with brackets holding the chain tight on the interior of the shed to keep the chain from spinning through the holes that are cut int he side of the shed.
My boys ETON 50 was stolen 2 years ago in broad daylight out of our shed when it wasnt locked. Sorry for them, it was a POS and I still have the steering knuckles that I had taken off for repair!

My house is in a neighborhood that was built before most people owned cars, so they never planned on people having garages here. My lot width is only 40 feet so If I had a garage the size I need, it would take up half of my yard. Maybe a problem, maybe not. If I had a garage I'd have to plow the snow out and accross the street instead of straight up the drive and back to the fence. That would be a serious problem, because I would only be able to do it a couple of times before I ran out of room. I can't shovel the snow becuase of my arthritis and there's nowhere I can blow it so I sold my snowblower. Building a garage isn't much of an option.

It sounds like a wheel lock and alarm is going to be a good combination after I take the back wheels off. I can keep them in my house in case they break into the shed too. I could even put the lugnuts in my gun safe.

I would love to catch them in the act and pepper them with my paintball gun. It shoots 15 ***** a second full-auto and has a lot of power. I would be easy to pick the guy out of a police line-up. He's the one covered in orange goo and big purple welts. It's a "PAIN"ball gun.

Only two things will stop a career criminal. Death or prison. The law won't let you kill them, and won't keep them in prison either. The justice system is "catch and release" and they keep throwing them back like fish.

Thanks everyone for the moral support and all the suggestions. I appreciate it.

Still no word from the cops on my quad. I think it's gone for good.

I just got a $25 carberator part for my scooter and put it on. It runs better than it has for two years. At least I have SOMETHING to ride besides my bike. The scooter is okay on dirt roads but could never go down an ATV trail. It has no rear suspension and only 1.6" on the front. At least I can do something on vacation when all my friends are riding their quads. A 40cc scooter gets 100mpg but my 50cc only gets 80 mpg. That's still 5 times better than my truck, and it's going to sit in the driveway a lot more.

My scooter looked like this before I added the performance mods, seat, and other goodies. http://www.neoscooters.com/proddetail.asp?prod=EVO2X
