ive got an 08 800 sportsman can i put mst 28-9.5-12 on front without a liftkit or spacers

 

I'm sure the pros will chime in soon but I would say no...You're probably gonna hit the tie rod ends on a stock rim......Gonna need a wheel with offset...Welcome to the forum by the way......

im pretty sure you would need a lift they would rub without one

 

you need at least the +1" offset aftermarket wheels offer or they will rub the outer tie rod end.

 

definately need spacers for anything wider than 8" in the front

 

sorry, or offset rims as far as height goes i have 28" on mine with no lift and no clearance issues

 

Like Jimmy said.....A +1" offset rim will move the tire out further from the tierod.....

you can get +2" if you use the 12x8 wheels (4+4).

 

thanks for the 411 guys im new at this and the tire thing is drivin me nuts. the guys i ride with like to play in the mud but i cant stay with em when it gets to sticky so i got to do some mods i thought rims and tires and a cluthkit was good place to start any thoughts?

 

i was thinkin ss212 rims
