scrammy 400 twin air filter
Hello,
I have bought a twin air for the scrammy, it came to me as the right shape for sure.. but theres no hard part to it..
the k and n knock off thats in there now is ridgid, with wire mesh, and hard ends to make a good seal..
this thing looks like its not going to seal up, and that its going to collapse
whats the deal... its literally just a piece of foam

no..
its the correct size and shape.. its just a limp dick piece of foam
Its a twin air not a uni..
I have uni in my 300, its ridgid, it has wire and hard plastic
I mean, theres the air filter stand on the scrambler, but why would
they just sell it as a piece of foam?
it doesnt seem right to me, tho i havent even tried to put it in yet,
b/c i tore up all the tendons in my left foot, my quad projects are on hold

heah kukerdan, what do you think of the uni, i have always gone stock but once ran for a minute with nothing+ there was a noticeable diff.dont want k+n cause of the fact that it passes small dust into engine but that might be because people dont keep oiled enough.does uni need oil?cheaper overall than k+n?

Uni needs to be oiled, but decent filter. Fairly easy to clean and FAR more tolerant of dirt compared to UNMAINTAINED K&N. Have posted earlier my problems encountered with K&N on a fairly NEW 500 Sportsman. I admit was customers fault, but JUST dont like them for the dirt EVEN with sleeves! Use either stock with prefilter or UNI and you wont have problems like I see with the K&N!
