Default 3 headlight mod

I want to do the 3 headlight mod and have read some of the old posts.

I see the quadovator kit for about $14

Is this a reliable setup??

Is there a better way to do it??

If I understand it correctly, all you have to do is crimp this diode that has two wires on it between the high beam switched wire and the low beam wire??

This sounds too simple and inexpensive to be true. (Awesome)

Any comments appreciated, Thanks

yeh it works great, and you can get the EXACT same kit off ebay for $3 or $4

some people have used the relay type way to do it, all that the relay does, is reduce the chance of burning up the switch,
I have had my diode kit for 2 years with no problems, and many others have had it for much longer

How much does the relay kit go for? And who makes those?

I read a lot last year....about that...and decide to built myself a diode kit. I bought my diode from radio shack. You have to weld to piece of wire each side of the diode and rap it with shrankable stuff. Work great since one year.....REALLY worth the 2.50$ for 4 diodes....

On my machine.....I think work with 2005 and up....You have to locate the GREEN and YELLOW wire from the light switch.....follow under the pod and butt you kit with connector under the pod. You have to splice the black wire loom.

One more thing....The rectifier diode will ONLY work one way, on mine the GREEN wire goes to the end of the diode withe the gray stipe, the black side of the diode goes with the YELLOW wire. There is a possability of wiring backwards!!!

Try it...if it dont work just reverse it. You dont have to cut anything....

Is REALLY simple and cheap to do.....It a lot simple than it look like.....
