ITP Holeshot ATR'S

Anyone have experience of having Holeshot ATR'S on there 700/800? I am shopping tire's and all I see everyone buying is Xtr's or mudlite's bighorn's' etc. My riding is mainly fire road's thru the mountain's of WV occassional mud hole, except when at Hatfield and McCoy. Any thoughts on durability, handling? I am currently running mudlite xl's and want something different in an all around tire.

Thank's Hoov

A lot of folks consider the Bighorns to be a great all around tire. (except for mud) As stendori mentioned, the TC's are also another recommended tire for most conditions. If you think you might run into a few more serious mud holes, have a look at the new Mud Bug Radial. From what I've heard/read, it's not as aggressive as the original Mud Bug, but aggressive enough for most "reasonable mudding", and is still a good trail tire.

That's the same tire I'm leaning towards also.I have carlisle badlands xtr's on my 450 which is almost the same tire(itp is owned by carlisle). They ride nice and have great traction.I'm just worried that the ATR's might not stiff enough for the weight of my X2.

I have friends that run ATRs and they love them. They ride mostly hard pack trails, gravel roads, pavement and not much mud. One of the guys plows driveways and parking lots and he raves about holeshot ATRs as a snow tire. He contends they hook up in the snow much better than the big lugged tires like 589s or dirt devils he use to run on his plow rigs.

From what I can tell they're a pretty good tire fi you're not into riding in lots of mud and especially if you ride a lot of hardpack trails and the like.

were running swamp lites on the 400 and it seems to be a great all around tire and does really good in the mud for what it it.
