i wasnt alive during nam , but its hard for me to stomach the way the people treated the vets when they got home , when someone is riskin their life for this country , guess its good that i wasnt here , whether u agree or disagree with the cause , the troops should b susported above petty difference , but thats just my opinion

 

Yea, even today with all of the Anti-Bush sentiment it really grieves my heart to see
so many panzies and liberals degrade their service! I know its not a NAM thing, but
in my mind it is disgraceful, I think we can show a little more gratitude and appreciation
for our service members and military leadership! Its like 9-11 was so long ago and
so far from peoples minds. But believe me, 9-11 is just our wake up call, and I hope and
pray that we can unify our political leadership like it was right after 9-11, b/c that part
of the world with the terrorists groups are NOT going away, they will keep trying and
planning and its a goal of theirs. The very fact of attacking our weak security Embassy's
throughtout, and recently the hotel in India is proof in the pudding, if we ignore it again and
again then they rise in power and organize and strike again.

But tonight and tomorrow and throughtout the New Year maybe we be at peace!

yes agreed. my wife and I are the "proud" parents of a navy man this year and very happy he choose to defend our country and for the greatness it stands for. today is his first christmas by him self in the service so its a little hard on his mom for sure but he just called so things are ok. a big salute to all of our great miltary personal.[img]i/expressions/present.gif[/img]
