well i think i need to flip the latch around to clip on the other bracket. if you looked at the video and paused it at about 29 sec. you can see i was trying to clip it to the bolt/screw side. insted on the other side over the adjustment screw.... see what im getting at. but i havent a chance to look. but im shure i did it wrong. but then again i never got instructions. i did get instructions from a local dealer, and low and behold i think im right.......

idiot

Thanks for posting such clear pics. One of my friends was talking about getting a windshield. If it falls off I'll know why.

lol. had to post my stupity. the way i had tryed it would have better. becuse just seemed better access to the clip. i almost sent it back to the guy. but i started this thread. and found out it was me. thanks to the pic from MrMarty51. i only paid $56 for it. theres one thing i dont like about the lock and ride windsheild. besides it take me more than 15sec to remove or add. with all the wires running along both sides of my bars its a pain to get the lock and ride brackets past the wires and around the bars with all the wires. pluse i had to cut the zip ties holding the wires so now they just hang. my plan was only for plowing. but i dunoo yet.

I bought one this winter for plowing as well. I used it once and never again. I agree it is a pita to put it on over all the wires.

it seems it be easyier to grab a 1/2inch wrench and remove the windshield from the mounts and leave the mounts. it just seems to take forever to mount it sence i have hand/thumb warmer, winch control, oem wires running along the handle bars along with the throttle and brake cables.

Hey guys, I agree on the wire thing. If you can pull some slack and cable tie it so the cables bow out a bit where the clamps go it makes life alot easier. You don't need much just enough to get the clamp through, so it does not look bad either. Hope this helps.

On Mine when I went to install on the first goround I had the clamp assys.on the wrong side of the brackets and that made it to narrow for the handlebars or maby it was too wide,Heck I cant remember.LOL
You did get a real good deal on that windshield,I think Mine was around $150 or so,Heck I cant remember.LOL
Yup on the PIA for getting them around the wires.I have a bunch of spare pullstraps laying around so I`ll just put new ones back on if I can remember where I put them.LOL.
