New Tracks!
Here's some pics of my new tracks, Prospector Pro S by Polaris. These are the bomb! After the install, I pulled it out of the garage and noticed my popo is bigger than the wife's mini cooper! LOL!
I took it out for the first time in the snow yesterday. It did surprisingly well. My speedometer read 50 mph max, but I'm not sure how accurate it is with the tracks on it. I wondered off the path about a mile or so when I found a "soft spot"! LOL! Around here we have old volcanic lava flows that heat up underneath the snow creating a hollow area under the snow that you can't see. No big deal until you ride over it with the heaviest atv around! LOL! The popo is like a tank with the tracks, I bet it weighs over 1,000 lbs! I spent about 2 hours digging, only to bury my popo deeper! Fortunately my buddy was grooming the trails nearby and was able to lift my popo out of the 4 foot hole we eventually dug!

Driving with tracks is a whole new thing. If they start spinning, you start digging.
The photos tell it all.
Speedo is probably off by 20-30%. Measure drive sprocket diameter and compare to tire diameter. If tires are 30% larger than tracks sprocket, your indicated speed with be 30% higher than actual.

Great pics Firehog. Don't be a lava hog... That could get painful. I kind of like it in the Northeast. We have some ice storms, heavy snowfall, and an occassional flood. We don't have active thermal features or earthquakes bigger than 5.0. You had great pics too Mongrol. Mongrol, was that you in the latest Dirt Wheels? You making it a yearly thing?

The trick is not to get the tracks spinning. Just ease off the throttle and crawl out. I've had to walk beside it while giving it throtte.
MooseH. It may be my photo in dirt wheels, but not sure. Haven't seen mag yet.
