My dad has an oil leak on his sportsman he bought used with about 400mi on it. From what I can tell it's from the resivoir that is in front of the engine (on the left side if you are sitting on the machine) and seems to be coming from what looks like a bolt that has a rubber tube going to the engine. I don't know anything about polaris machines but I can only guess that the tube may be pulling back on this bolt (because the tube is only so long) therefore it loosens this bolt. Does anyone know how to solve this problem? I would think if you could give the bolt another 1/4 turn the problem would be solved but then you may risk pulling the tube off. He has had this machine about 3 weeks at most and there is about a 6" diameter puddle under the machine. Now that I think about it, I'm not even sure what that resivoir is. Any help would be appreciated. Lastly, the machine is not an EFI bit it is liquid cooled.

its the oil tank and the hose you are talking about should be going to the oil pump and should be tight when turned to the mark on the tank has to be on the mark just a line put teflon tape on it if it still leaks
