a good set of snap ring expanders and a buddy, youll have that thing apart in no time. you should definitely reference a service manual before you tackle that. that way u know the way it comes apart, and the way it needs to be re assembled properly,

wow, thats in bad shape. well just like i thought, the spring broke due to being preloaded the wrong way. you can tell by the last coil sticking out from the rest. they should all be uniform coils.

a new helix, spring and buttons should fix it right up. but, its probably cheaper to find a good used clutch on ebay or something.

I am taking it that spring is not stock then ? where would I find one of those or should I just use the one that comes in the clutch I get from ebay or wherever ? and this is most likely why it was eating the belts then ??? I really appriciate your help buddy, I owe you a few beers !!

What are the buttons you speak of? it looks like just a helix is 40$ so i might as well get the whole thing, but can I use the spring that comes with it or do I have to get the matching orange spring ? I looked on ebay for the orange spring and cant seem to locate it.

im sure whatever spring you can get will be fine. but if you check: https://www.erlandsonperformance.com...=atvpolsprings

they have the orange spring if your really wanting to put it the way it was. $19.95

the buttons are little plastic pieces that the helix ramps ride on. yours are completely gone. all thats left is the 3 little screws. they are only $10 for the set of 3.
