LT/ADC/Demand Drive fluid for XP's
I went to the dealer today and told them wanted to change my ADC fluid and needed the right oil to do the job. They told me there is a new fluid called,
"Demand Drive Plus" and it says on the label,"use in place of LT Fluid,ADC Fluid and Demand Drive Fluid. *Not designed to replace Angle Drive Fluid.
So my question is has anyone seen or used this Fluid yet? What is your opinion of it? Any problems to report on it yet?

It is a low temp gear/hydraulic oil that also works well with the Hilliard clutches. The new oil has an additive that makes the clutches for the adc work better and quieter. Plus now it can be used on the pump side of the adc.
The old oil works fine on units without adc because there are no clutch packs. If you have adc you need the demand plus.

I don't think this is just for the XP models but you should ask your dealer to make sure! The bottle says " REPLACES LT FLUID, ADC FLUID AND DEMAND DRIVE FLUID" then in smaller print says, formulated for lubricity, corrosion and oxidation protection in all operating conditions including extreme temperatures and high speed operation.
1) special additives prevent ADC clutch chatter.
2) Designed specifically for rapid reaction of the ADC hydraulic system.
3) Ensures rapid release and engagement.
The part # is 2877922
It doesn't say anything about what models or what model year to use it on.
That's why I wanted to know if anyone else had tried it yet! LOL!
I was going to take the XP out of the thread's title but couldn't figure out how to do that !

I have changed oil in a lot of adc equipped 08s using the old oil with no problems although I dont know for sure if the adc was performing top notch but they were no complaints about noise. Sometimes the oil is really dark and that could be the oil that is not letting the clutch packs engage with minimal slippage.
I had an 850 XP that made a loud groaning noise whenever the adc engaged. Tore it apart and found everything perfect. Put it back together and it had the same noise. Changed the oil to the new plus and noise is gone. I have to admit I tried John Deere lo temp hydraulic oil (Hygard) and it made the noise go away but I was afraid it was to high of a viscosity for the hilliard clutch to work properly in colder temps. When I went to order the new plus oil I found it was in stock and changed it out to that.
Automatic tranny oil likely would work also as they have hydraulic clutch packs and gears combined in the same system. But it is still a little thick for winter use.
