2006 sportsman 800- SHOULD I BUY ?
#12
Well i finally bought it, it has ITP XTR tires and ITP wheels, next to it is my 2000 sportsman 335.
The 800 makes a chunking noise (I think from the tranny) when shifting from forward to reverse and from coasting to accelaration. Is this normal ? Also it just shut off on me when i was riding, it started right up after that and ran fine. Any ideas??? It only has 120 miles and 31 hours.

About the brush guards, the guy I bought it from wraped the brush guards in black rope, I was going to take it off when I got it home, but now its starting to grow on me and I might leave it on.
Also any ideas about the clunking noise when shifting from forward to reverse?
thx,
Dragonboy

If there is any type of key chain on the key this can cause your machine to turn off.
It has happened to me many times, mostly when I ride in the dunes, trail riding not so much, I think it is the quick sharp turns. The tranny shift clunk you will have to get use to.
